Dance Theatre of Harlem Lecture Demonstration
Arts Education • 30-Apr-2021
An informal presentation on the art and science of classical dancing, a lecture/demonstration is a fun and accessible introduction to ballet. Specific exercises that develop jumping, turning, partnering, lifting, and dancing on pointe are demonstrated and explained. Throughout, excerpts from Dance Theatre of Harlem’s eclectic repertoire demonstrate how the elements that have been discussed come together to create the magic of dance.
