Darren Walker details empathy, arts and social justice philanthropy in a time of civil unrest.
He explains how it’s all key to changing the country. “What are we willing to give up?”
Walker is president of the Ford Foundation, an international social justice philanthropy with a $13 billion endowment and $600 million in annual grant making. Before joining Ford, Walker was vice president at the Rockefeller Foundation, and in the 1990s served as COO of the Abyssinian Development Corporation — Harlem’s largest community development organization.
