Who Draws the Lines? Fighting for Fair Maps in Wisconsin and Michigan
In Partnership with Campaign Legal Center (CLC) • 01-Nov-2022
Every 10 years, every state must redistrict. That means that states redraw election district lines, and that determines who you get to vote for.
This process should be straightforward. Unfortunately, in the U.S., politicians in many states engage in partisan gerrymandering. This means politicians get to pick their voters, instead of voters picking their politicians.
Citizens in both Michigan and Wisconsin share their stories about the redistricting processes in their respective states and discuss what works well and what doesn’t.
