Timothy Snyder, the Bird White Housum Professor of History at Yale University, gave Friday, August 14 morning's lecture to end the weeks theme of "Redefining Europe." Snyder is the author of eight books and his ninth is set for publication in September. "Ukraine is only place in Europe where people are risking their lives for the value of political unity," said Snyder. the goal of his lecture was to tie together the themes of Ukraine, the European Union and Russia in the future.
