Live at 5 p.m. EDT Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Join Grammy Award-winning violinist Nicola Benedetti as she shares insights into the internal and external experiences of life as a performer. From preparation to performance, Ms. Benedetti will take listeners behind the scenes, giving an honest account of the often-hidden mental and physical demands both on and off the stage. Don’t miss this rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the mind of one of today’s most high-profile classical artists.
Benedetti is one of the most sought-after violinists of her generation. Her ability to captivate audiences with her innate musicianship and spirited presence, coupled with her wide appeal as a high-profile advocate for classical music, has made her one of the most influential classical artists of today. In January, she was awarded her first-ever Grammy for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, for her recently released recording of the Wynton Marsalis Violin Concerto with the legendary Philadelphia Orchestra and conductor Cristian Măcelaru on Decca Classics. She had the honor of performing live on the 2020 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, where she collected her award in person. Her performance, which marked the first classical solo violin appearance on the Premiere Ceremony in more than 10 years, was streamed live internationally via Grammy.com.
