The Voice Program is thrilled to welcome world-renowned soprano, Renée Fleming, as she leads a masterclass for our young singers in a private session on Wednesday, July 29 at 2 p.m. This masterclass will be broadcast on the Virtual Porch (porch.chq.org) on Wednesday, August 5 at 2 p.m.

30 minute Q and A with all of our voice students to follow the 90 minute class.
One of the most beloved and celebrated singers of our time, soprano Renée Fleming is renowned for her sumptuous voice, consummate artistry, and compelling stage presence. Awarded America’s highest honor for an individual artist, the National Medal of Arts, as well as four Grammy awards, she brought her voice to a vast new audience in 2014, as the first classical artist ever to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl. https://reneefleming.com/home/
Each masterclass features either a resident or guest faculty member working with singers from the School of Music Voice program. After an introduction by the host and the faculty member, video performances of each singer will be viewed. After each singer's performance, the faculty member and singer will discuss it and work together on the music. At the conclusion of the class, there will be a short period for Q & A with other singers in the program.
