Susan Straight, author of “In the Country of Women,” will discuss her memoir about the societal struggles of the multiracial, multiethnic women in her extended family. “In the Country of Women” examines the reality of oppression based on race, gender, and class. Jane Cleaver Becker, Shannon Rozner, Sherra Babcock and Yvonne Makl will facilitate the event.
